When I first came to Dr. Roman for help, I had been suffering for 5 years. I had been given muscle relaxers, pains killers and physical therapy. My name is Jasmine Kirkland and I am 9 years old. I did not know who a chiroprator was untill my mom took me. I was struggling with my reading in school, no one seemed to know what the problem was, untill Dr. Roman started treating me. May 2007 I read an article in Gwinnett Daily Post about Advanced Health & Spine Center and Dr. Roman's experience with migraine headache sufferers. I have had migraine headaches since a teenager. I am 67 years old and have been prescribed migraine treatment medications by medical and neurology physicians. The preventive medications used for migraines have been very difficult for me to tolerate and the side-effects unacceptable. After reading Dr. Roman's expericence and successes I decided to see him for a evalution. After a thorough evaluation which included history, physical assessment and x-rays it was apparent that I have issues with my neck and thoracic spine that could be contributing for an evaluation. Dr. Roman provided excellent written and video education about chiropractic care. He showed me my x-rays and the areas of concern in regard to my headaches. He outlined a six month plan of care realistic goals for me to work towards. During this six month time frame there will be regular re-evaluation to make sure I am improving.
